Masjid at-Taqwa is pleased to present a youth hike for boys and men.

We need to prepare our youth for tomorrow’s world. The world is rapidly changing, our youth, our young people need the right set of skills to thrive and a steady mindset to steer away from the negative challenges faced today.

Without a doubt academic skills remain important, but they are not sufficient to foster relationships between parents and children, and keeping them proactive. This hike is supposed to work a treat! We are going to let nature do its work. Want to rekindle your bond with your child? Come along and tackle this challenge hike together with us. Want to remember your Creator? Come along and see Allaah’s breathtaking creation, which will serve as a reminder to your purpose in life.

This is the respite we all need from the day to day challenges of living in a city, from work and the academic life.

Please bring along a packed lunch as you will be ravenous after the hike.

Venue

Mercer Bay Loop Track

Log Race Road, Piha, Auckland  (get directions)

Halfway down Log Race Road the pathed road stops and turns to gravel. You’ll notice a sign for ‘Mercer Bay Loop, 600m’ and a small turning circle (where you can park), continue driving, don’t stop. There is a car park at the end of Log Race Road – it’s a circular car park. Park anywhere there. That is where we will meet up inshaaAllaah, as that is where the walk starts. We will be taking the track entrance at the southern side of the car park going in a clockwise direction.
